Cloning from Fem seeds

I know it's not what the purists agree with doing? But can u have success doing this?? It's by first attempt at cloning and I'm taking my cuttings of a fem motherplant, the only thing I notice is the leaf pattern looks a little weird, what does everyone think??

Absolutely!!! Take as many clones as you can, do it as often as you can until you are confident you can get 100%, then dial it back to fit your needs. Experiment, learn, improve.... was an 8 week experience for me, dozens of clones before I learned how to get 100%.

Some of the clones I have taken have a weird leaf pattern and seem to be growing outward not upward? Are these no good? They seem to be growing leaves all on top of each other and spirally, could I be taking clones from the wrong place?

Sounds like your plant has been through some stress, and has mutated, causing that weird growth. It'll still be okay to clone, but,...the clones will have mutations too. As for cloning fems.....sure, it's a common practice. I do it all the time, without any problems, as do many others.

I've seen plants change their growth habit after cloning. I had a bubblelicious plant that was beautiful and bushy from seed, her clones were lanky and stupid, under the same conditions as pre-clone. Most, however, will look the same as their mother in a few weeks. Also, whatever rooting product you've used may have caused a temporary mutation in the plant. I coat my razor blade in my rooting gel before i make each cut (mostly to keep the cut wet and protected til it makes it into the gel dip). Doing this caused funny growth near where i took the clones. I don;t see why it would be impossible for similar funny growth to occur on the clone, which has spent some time soaking in the same agent.

Can you take cuttings from female seeds that don't show flowers or pistils?? I have a few clones that are a week into flowering that aren't really show slot of flowers? How long does it take to show? My strain is killing Fields, it's a 10-12 week flowering sativa .
