Cloning from sexed flowering plant

I have a neophyte question and will probably show my ignorance once again, but can one take clones from a flowering stage plant? Been in flower just long enough to sex, but is showing little flower buds? Lost several to the "male" syndrome, but I would really like to clone the females and just leave them in the flower stage? Any advice especially from some wise and experienced growers that aren't laughing too hard at my inexperience regarding this, to give a newbie some "good" advice?

just take a clone from a part with no hairs and itll work very well, but even if u clone off a very much flowering node you can still reveg it but it will take alot more time, good luck brotha
