cloning help

hi, i tried my first clones off my first real marjiuana seed plants. can you tell me if the roots can grow outta the stem, or just the nodes. also i took some tiny clones off the very bottomest of the plant and do you think they will root in the dark or need light right away after clipping. that was alot to ask.

if those clone root i'll be amazed.

have you read into cloning at all? or researched anything about it???

Agree with Budologist420....sounds like you may have just stuck some cuttings in a pot of dirt? There are some tricks to cloning for sure....and cloning gel helps too? Here's how I clone:

I pick a good healthy stem with at least 2 sets of healthy leaves from the lower half of the plant.
The stem needs to be somewhat fat - scrawny little suckers rarely root
I cut it with clean scissors then stick the cut end in a cup of water
I get a rapid rooter thingy...recut the end of my clone at a 45 degree angle
Dab rooting gel on the fresh cut
Stick it in my rapid rooter - the pinch it shut to give the rooting gel contact with the rr
I keep an eye on the leaves - really only need one set

I keep all of my clones in a tray with about 1/2 inch of water - under a flourescent light - on top of my heater (the heater is off - but the pilot light keeps it warm)
I mist the clones with straight water

As soon as I see roots - I put the whole thing in a coco pot with dirt.

Voila!
