Cloning Methods

I clone using a Botanicare Daisy Cloner, 8 slots. Just like the pic. I made a custom top that I put on the cloner for the first week so I don't have to mist. When I first started cloning I'd mist but I noticed the water in the spray bottle started smelling bad. I call that "mildew smell". Ick.

When I clone using this machine it takes about two weeks from dropping the cutting to extracting rooted clones. Once the clones are rooted I put them into soil (red Solo cups) and it takes about another two weeks for the plant to start showing signs of vigorous growth.

The success rate has been about 99+%.

Do you use cloning methods that are different and faster? Any tips would be appreciated.

The fastest method is doing it the way you are but... if it slows you need to clean your equipment
I drop some Pool shock in mine whenever I am concerned and my times shorten accordingly
And yes a few granules of pool shock with plants present and they still root

Thanks everyone.

Oh yea, I clean the cloner after each use. I take everything apart including the pump and clean with straight hydrogen peroxide and a toothbrush. After, rinse with plain water and let air dry.

Aero with some rooting hormone like Hormex, KLX and some kind of sterilizer UC roots, Clear Rez, Pool Shock with some micro/bloom or Clonex Solution. If I use KLX I use Pro-TeKt with it. Lately I’ve been using distilled store bought water instead of my RO because I only get 0 ppms for a short time after replacing my filters and things seem to happen faster with the distilled water.
