This is my first time cloning i got about 50 and they are looking great im on day 5 and they all are standing up and some yellowing on leave im told thats a good sighn...anyway looks like the cubes are getting dry not to bad but on there way..still no roots showing through the rockwool cubes..how do i water them? Or do i even water them? Use a turkey baster and and water each one individualy? Or just pour some water in the whole tray just enough so it hits the cubes? Thanks guys

I would say day 5 is not near watering time unless you are 100 percent sure they are dry.
Did you use a mesh tray then put mesh tray into solid tray? If yes just add 1 gallon or 4 litters of water and dunk the mesh tray into solid tray, then drain off counting 20 second of draining per corner.
One more tip for future cloning is when you start with a rock wool flat of 50 saturate the flat with 4000ml of water and then drain off 1000 ml. For me that is the perfect weight to start.

Hi Helltown,
I have great luck using rockwool. I keep them damp using a lab style fluid dispenser. I water from the top manually. You don't them sopping wet...is all.

Yea it worked out used distilled water with a 5.5 ph and used a turkey baster to individually water each one worked out pretty good!! Yea they for sure needed water but all 50 are taking root..not bad for a first time go at cloning

Day 5 and yellowing already?

What light are they under? Sounds like you might want to decrease the light power some.
Whats going on is the light intensity is having the plant do more photosynthesis, then rooting. Since the plant can't uptake nutrition....It's drawing from it's self to grow...

Decrease the power of the light they are under too.
