Cloning under MH or...

I'm thinking of purchasing these exact clones. Would I veg under a MH? If so, how many weeks before switching to HPS? I've heard you don't use MH when messing with clones... I have a 1000w MH/HPS but no other lights, shall I purchase T5's, etc?

Thank ya ma buds!

1000w MH is way to much light for clones. put 2-3 CFL bulbs on them. 40-100w CFL is enough to make clones :)
How logng you veg depends on many aspects. Read, try, learn :)

I've just heard experiences of hanging the MH 3ft' above the clones & it works well apparently? Idk. Which is why I'm asking I suppose. Additionally, if I were to get the 2-3 CFL's, how long do they stay under those before I present a MH to them? Are they ever presented with the MH? Thanks!

I would not put fresh cut clones into a room with a mh,but once they have stood back up after the shock of the cut from the mother then they will be fine in the room with the mh,but i have only done this with hps.

Just make sure that the medium does not dry out get them into a propagator, but that is the only trouble i have found is that the medium tends to dry out a little to fast for my likeing.

The main reason that i don't put clones in my room under hps light is its far more cost effective to get a t5 light

Rooted clones would be fine under the MH as long as it is over 3 feet away to start (I would start at 4 feet and then adjust to the plants response)

The MH would be a problem with unrooted clones as it would make them try to grow and they would eat themselves to do that, you want just enough light to sustain so that they focus on rooting
