lots of mediums for clones, i like peat pellets or rockwool(pH altering may be necessary for the rockwool, simply soak it in low pH water, id do 5.0 since they have a high pH). make sure the soil is damp but not wet when you touch it, it should be just wet enough to still be dark colored i guess you could say. get cloning gel or powder, a dome, and a light. a cfl would be good, i use fluorescents. i also use translucent storage bins as my domes. after i soak my clones in diluted superthrive, about 1 drop for 3 gallons, i let them sit in there for about 2 minutes or so. then dip the stems in the hormone, try to cut the clones at an angle, 45 degree is suggested. after putting them into the medium, stick em in the dome. i give them a foliar feed with the diluted superthrive, but only once since you want them to stop using their leaves as their source for taking up nutrients. after about 7 days, check the holes on the pots. if roots are emerging, they're ready to transplant. if you wanna put them outdoors, you should keep them in the shade for a day or two and watch closely how they respond to the light, it should show if its ok with the change withing 10-15 minutes, if they curl up then back to the shade.
