Closet grow 405 watt cfl 25,700 lumens

Hey guys. I'll done several grows. Usually I grow from seed but I hate it because of the sexing. So this time I am getting 2 clones. cut some time on the grow. My grow area is about 4.229 sq. small closet behind a dresser that pull out. i am vegging them w/ 18/6 lights. I am starting the grow next week. Ill keep posting and add pics next time.

Bubbleponics system
6 gallon reservoir
Tetra whisper 150 Air Pump w/ 12 inch Air Stone
Sunleaves DuraPump 160 GPH water pump
General Hydroponic nutrients
flora series: flora micro, grow and bloom
1x Small desk fan but I might add another one

11 CFL

2x 55 watt 3,600 lumens WARMWHITE and DAYLIGHT
1x 65 watt 3,400 lumens WARMWHITE
2x 27 watt 1,750 lumens DAYLIGHT
2x 42 watt 2,600 lumens WARMWHITE
2x 23 watt 1,600 lumens DAYLIGHT
2x 23 watt 1,600 lumens WARMWHITE

TOTAL 405 watt 25,700 lumens

cfl is crap compared to hps, i started off with cfl now use hps n ill never go back

I would recommend doing a test with the lights on and take some temps after 6 hours.. to make sure its not too hot , you didnt mention a fan?

Yea hps lights or even hid lights would be nice but can't afford the cost of lights or the electricity. Ill work with cfl a couple times and gotten good results. Potent buds and fairly good amount. I usually grow 1 to 2 plants. A small grow for me and my girl to smoke. And thanx tellno1 for reminding me about the fan. I was high when I wrote the original post. It does get hot in the closet but I have a small desk fan hanging of the light and I am thinking about getting another one for the other side. I am also planing to use homemade carbon dioxide tutorial. I found which consist of a small bottle with water + yeast and sugar for co2.

You are going to need some extraction. Blowing hot air around doesn't help.
You sound in a similar situation to me. Just grow for me and g/f, total stealth in a small space.
I'm running a 250w (29000 lumens hps flower , 20000 MH veg) u-scrog in a 4wx2dx3h. Pulled over 6 oz dry from the last lot, single plant. The trick is definately good extraction and scrog.
P.s. I was lucky. The light is a security lamp I found in a skip!

Reporting should be used responsibly. I run HPS and no CFL. clf IS crap compared to HPS. Report me too.

1 1000w would toast that.

This has nothing to do with which is the better light. We all know that.

However, this is the CFL section - for discussing CFL lights for those of us that, for whatever reason, don't use HID/LED/whatever.

To come in here and just say "cfl is crap" is trolling. And if moderators are also trolls then fuck this shit.

i hate ppl who come here promoting their HPS. well no shit an HPS would be better. a 400w HPS thows out about 50000 lumens, how many 23w cfls at 1600 lumens each is that? a shit ton. when are u guys gonna learn, ppl dont use cfls because theyre the best, or give massive yields. they use them because it accomodates to there situation at that time(mostly space issues). And hey, if u can grow a fair amount of bud with them for your head stash, why not? And dumbasses advising a 1000w HPS. its a 4 sq ft room, your gonna have major heating issues, and fried plants, another reason hps bulbs arent always ideal for the situation

i know for a FACT that you got enough CFLs to do some DAMAGE. It's all about the placement bro,
keep them withing 2-3 inches at ALL TIMES around ALL levels of the plants.
also utilize some LST TO KEEP THEM SHORT. CFLs are a no go for tall plants

lets not ruin this thread becuase of one troubled MFer

CFL have advantages (cost & heat) but I don't think anyone would deny that HPS are more effective...so it's not about which one "wins", it's all about growing with what you have, even if they are only 23watt bulbs.

We have this CFL section for those of us who use them for whatever reason we choose....so if you hate CFL's so much, why do you troll in this section?
