Closet Grow A/C

If there's an extra closet in a bedroom, is it safe to have a window a/c unit vent into that room while cooling the closet?

Thanks!

I do not see why not, If that is what you have.

If you are going to buy one I would think about one of the "portable" ac units. You could vent it into the room or you could vent it somewhere else (attic, basement, window)

One issue that you will have to contend with on a window unit is the condensate (water) tube, on my portable unit the water is fed into the exaust air stream and it evaporites.

If you read some of my other posts you will see that I am usually sarcastic or critical of spelling errors. It is refreshing to see a concise well written question.

Strax,

I have an extra window unit left over from the summer that is just collecting dust, and thought maybe I could put it to better use.

Hmmm, I'll have to check into the water tube issue, thank you for the warning.

I appreciate the compliemnt and thank you for the quick response.

they are loud and put out a shit load of heat. Hopefully this isnt a bedroom you actually use and can leave a window open. Otherwise id say this is a horrible idea.

Although closets are what most people start out in, being able to control the environment in closets is a pain. I say, put it to better use in an actual room.
