Closet maid setup?

Ok I got 2 wardrobe closets for cheap. The 1st one I got for $30 2 months ago and the 2nd I got yesterday for $50. So my idea was to put them together and seal off the 2 middle doors. Now I'm to find out what light should I use. As of now I have a 600 watt hps in a 27 inch cool tube. The box is 67x77x 20....any ideas. I was thing the hps might be too hot even on 50%. Good thing is I can vent straight back with a 2ft run.


Oh and I also have a Can fan and filter

Anyone? I think I want to give led a shot but not sure yet

In the pic you can see how I put them together. But you have to very careful and the pieces that go across the top and bottom have to be put together first

I would suggest right off the bat building a frame out of 2x2's for durability reasons.

I would also paint it with a few coats of kilz paint. Moisture and press wood are not compatible.

Check out Redbird led. Their strip-it kit would work great for minimal height grows. A 4' strip is 44 watts @ 155 lumen per watt. Not cheap, but $2 per watt is actually cheap for quality leds. I have tested these strips with a PAR meter against a T5. The T5 was only around 800 (I think but under 900) with the meter against the bulb. The LED strip at 1" maxed out the PAR meter. Would love to see a full run with these. Mine run was flawed (I just can't grow in rockwool) but still pull an ounce off 2 2' @ 44 watts total.
