Hi everybody

This is my first post, and first grow.

Have been here awhile now, reading and learning. Finally all of my equipment has come and I am ready to get started on my own grow :)

Strain: Serious Seeds - Chronic
Containers: 3 x 12 Liters
Light: Prosource Illuminator Jumbo UFO 180w
Ventalation: BLAUBERG BI-Turbo 10cm + cable - 185m³/h, with carbon filter
Fan: Small clip on
Soil: Biobizz light mix
Nutrients: Nothing yet, but going for Biobizz Grow, and Biobizz bloom. Both are organic
Grow space: 90cm length, 50cm width, 160cm high

Ok, so I am about two weeks in, from the time I first got those seeds wet. I am probably a bit behind schedule. What happened was, was that I was expecting my light, and started germination a bit early so as to be ready for when the light arrived. But the light was delayed, and so I only had an aquarium grow light to use until it arrived. Which created stretching. After reading around the forums I planted them deeper, and finally the light arrived today. The aquarium light I was using was a double t5 aquarium grow tubes, from Juwel. I don't know the light spectrum from it, it was rubbed off.

Anyhow, all is up and going now, and cant wait to see what this light does! Cant wait to see some good growth!

Any comments on my setup? Like I said, Ive never done this before, so would appreciate any tips to what I can improve on. The light is hanging 50cm from the seedlings now. I think that should be about right, think thats like 20 inches or so.

Looks good man, I got a 180w UFO LED recently as well, but am building my own grow box.
Interested to see how these go, what strain are the seeds?
How often are you watering them?

Man this is such an exciting hobby. Since I got that UFO going instead of those shitty aquarium lights, things have been taking off :)
I keep peeking in on my plants to check on them as often as possible. Im like a little kid on Christmas Eve haha.

I took some more pictures, this time without the LED on, the colors made it too difficult to get good pictures.

Are they looking healthy?

Yeah the UFO is way more powerful than I first thought. I'm a novice with growing indoors, but have been growing outdoors for a while. I left the light way too close for my auto biodiesel and bleached/burned it :( It's slowly showing some progress though. (http://imgur.com/a/Wg48K)
The other ones are Sleestack X Skunk and another biodiesel. Mine is a pretty ghetto stealth setup in a compost bin, I plan on buying/building a box or tent. I'm gonna re-pot them tonight and probably put the sleestacks outside, and leave the autos under the UFO.
Yours are looking really nice though, keep up the good work. I'll keep you posted with my progress here as well.

Oh yeah and as you can see one of them is a set of twins, Unfortunately the labels got mixed up so I can't determine which one it is.
I figure I'll just leave it be and let them battle it out for nutrients.

Ive been keeping mine at about 20 inches. How high do you hang yours now?

Keep me updated!

Hey there

Been a few more days now, and TONS of progress.

But first, a few issues.

My plant in the middle had some leaves drop then go brittle. Not sure why. But the new growth on top of them is doing good by the looks of it, so problem solved? I got a bit anxious for a few days and was doing too much, perhaps that was why. I watered, then I watered the next day with kelp, then I misted kelp on the leaves, blah blah blah. I happened to read a good thread about possible marijuana problems, by Uncle Ben, and realized that I just needed to calm down. "More is less" is what he wrote over and over again. It stuck. From now on, I will go by that motto. I will water when the pots are light to lift, and try to learn to take cues from the plants.

Also, I had an accident, but got lucky. I had those t5s set up on the edge of the pots so that I could see the plants from time to time in natural light. I left the t5s there and a little while later I heard a bang. When I checked on the setup, I saw that the t5 had fallen unto the plants! They looked slightly damaged when I removed it. I was super scared. But by the end of the evening, they had straightened up again and all was well. Lucky me :)

Hmm what else... Oh yes, plant #1 on far left is doing best, no issues there. #2, in the center, had some leaves that died off, but looks fairly good now. Any tips? And #3 had stretched a lot in its early days and was looking weak, but the stem seems to be getting thicker now and that feels good. #3 Looks to have a bit less foliage, but otherwise good. I think it is recovering just fine.

Thats all!

On to the pics. Anyone want to take a peek at my center plant, top leaves, and see if they see any issue?

Hi there (posted this in a separate thread as well, but wanted it here so that I have every step of the grow in one place)

This is my first grow

Light: Prosource 180w LED, 18 inches above plants
Nuts: Biogrow organic, only fed once, plants are 4 weeks old, dosed 1ml per liter of water
Temp: 24-27 C
Airflow: yes
Humidity: 35-40%
Strain: Serious Seeds : Chronic

Plants are about 3.5 weeks old, from first getting seed wet

Ok now to the problem. I have 3 plants planted in a row. Only center plant is having problems. Take a peek. Strange coloring on leaves, splotchy. Leaf edges turning away.
Have tried to be careful to water correctly, but this is my first grow and Im never really certain that Im doing it properly - too often or not often enough. Thus far, I can say on
average that Ive watered every 2-3 days, not heavy either.

Would REALLY appriciate some help. Seems like every day this plant gets a little bit worse, very strange because the other two plants are doing incredibly well.
I dont know if this is significant, but I can say that I dug down along the stem a little ways and the stem was quite twisted.

Day 34 now from seed,

Putting them into flower. 12/12 is entered into my timer and starts tomorrow. Growth on the strongest two has just been sick the past week.

Tallest plant is 34cm, about 13.5 inches. The seond strongest is a few days behind, and the weakest is the plant that I have some issues with.

The weakest plant had yellowing and discolored patches and so on. Got the problem corrected, through a good flush, some foliar spraying and
then a weak feeding. So all new growth coming from it looks healthy now, but its still behind the others.

Starting to wonder if my space isnt suitable for 3 plants.... They are branching out A LOT. Going to have to read up on manicuring, maybe I can
remove some of the wider fan leaves...

RH is at about 55-60% now, up from about 40%. I suppose this is due to the watering becoming more and more.

Im so glad I read that post about watering. About how you lift the pots instead of sticking your finger in there. And when you feel a bit surprised, like
"wow that was light!" Then its time to water again. Have no doubt about watering anymore, and that feels good.

Because of the different sizes of my plants (not ideal I know..) I have been watering as needed, individually. The beast of the three needs a lot more water
than the others.

Hmm what else...
My carbon filter isnt removing all of the smell. You cannot smell anything passing my room in the hallway. But upon entering my bedroom, if you take a step
or two in, you can smell it. Ill have to look in to this. Is that typical of carbon filters? Or did I somehow buy a bad one, or its not working properly?

Any suggestions?

Pics; first in LED, then in T5 normal coloring

Wow yours are looking nice! I think they are looking very squashed in yours..And that sucks about the smell...Here are some updates of mine.
I repotted all of them, and moved 2 outside. Since I mixed up the bag seeds, I can only hope its the two regular sleeskunks that are outside. The one on the left under the UFO is the feminized auto biodiesel that got cooked at the start, glad to see some growth :D. The twin to the right of it is also going strong, hope its the other biodiesel!

Thanks :) Yeah they are really really bushy. Hope I have enough space... The strongest one is growing so fast, almost too fast. Its like 17 inches now already, maybe 2-3 inches taller than the other two.

Yours are looking nice, how old are they in those pictures? Mmmmm cant wait to taste some of this stuff! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

They are roughly 3 weeks old - I shmoke so much that not only did I mix up the seeds, I forgot what day I planted :?
The one with the spray can next to it has grown another a few inches over night.
I'm heading overseas for 2 weeks after Xmas so I need to figure out a watering system..
I'm watering the ones under the LED every 3-4 days (or until dry), but the ones outside are getting watered daily because temps are + 30 degrees C
Hope I don't cook them when It gets hotter ..

Been a long long time since Ive updated.

Things are going well. The one sickly plant, has remained somewhat small. I think Ive crowded too many plants in too small of a space. Will go with two next time, instead of three.

But otherwise things looking good!

Think Im at around week 4-5 of flower. Havent really been paying attention to days and weeks anymore, I figure I will harvest the stuff when its ready, so whatever.

Noticed some small black spots on some of the leaves now, wondering what that is, will see what I can find online.

26.1.2014 001.jpg26.1.2014 002.jpg26.1.2014 004.jpg

Something is wrong with the picture uploader, took me ages just for those three, more later perhaps.

Peace!

Looking good man, can't wait to see your harvest! The one I had under the LED looks a week or 2 behind yours, and the outdoor one is very nice! I moved the LED one outdoors for daylight and it has blown up since being outside. I'll post some pics soon.
