What exactly does it mean when a cmh bulb says 4200k? Is it saying 4200k watts? And what is the best cmh bulb out there?

A simpler way of visualizing what it means is old-school blacksmiths.
They estimated the temp of metal by the color it emitted-red hot, white-hot, etc.
For growing cannabis, anything in the 3000k-4000k range will work seed to flower.
I don't run hid, but I think most folks running the 315"s like the 3200k version.
