hey so i figured candles burn oxygen and turn it into carbon dioxide, so couldnt i just throw a couple tea candles or whatever in my grow room and get a decent amount of co2

You gotta take into mind that to get true co2 effects you need around a mkinim al co2 ppm or 1000 but best at 1500 ppm which candles wont really do anything at all.You need co2 tanks, or co2 generator or a co2 boost bucket or a 5 gallon yeast sugar setup for a couple plants to see any real benefits

yea i just figured it would be a good boost for my plants till i could get something else set up, and being that im using a pretty small area thats unventalated i just figured co2 would build up in there with a few candles going, seemed to help a little bit, at least till i can get around to getting some yeast, i was just worried cause some of my babies (like 10 days old) were getting a little yellow and brown, seemed like it helped some....i guess

yea well that was what i planned on doing originally, i just didnt have time to get to the store and get the stuff, it did slightly raise my temp, but not too much, and i was worried about leaving candles burning, but since they were only tea lights they only burned for a couple hours, and it seemed like it helped, anyways i ended up getting to the store yesterday and getting yeast and sugar so ive switched over now

Also Bear In Mind That The Greatest Benefits From Higher Co2 Levels Are Seen In The Flowering Stage. Vegetation Growth Is Fine With Atmospheric Levels Of Co2.

It's pretty hard to fuck up. Just mix hot water, yeast, and sugar in whatever size jug you have. Fill it 50%, shake it up, then let it sit for 2 weeks.

i was just looking at the link to make C02 with sugar and yeast and im going to try it but i dont want to sound like a smart arse but in the link it says C02 is lighter than air but its actually heavier

i tried the whole yeast and sugar method and it just makes a mess and its that efficient, so i just dont use co2, during either, but cardon dioxide is what plants breath, so they can do photosythesis or something like that, so it definatly helps them grow better during both cycles but plants breath oxygen when they are in the dark so u dont really need co2 going all the time in flowering

100% pure paraffin wax is basically CH2. The O2 combines with the C to produce CO (carbon monoxide) and CO2 and with the H's to produce H2O. Therefore the candle is using more O2 than it is creating CO2. This is true of other waxes as well but the other waxes have even more elements to combine with the O2.
