co2

hi does anybody use co2 i have a few fire extinguishers i have been using just to boost co2.would just like to know if anyone knows if its worth the bother.

The way your doing it, no. CO2 is best applied in a highly controlled growing environment, with programmed on/off times for fans and injectors to saturate the environment in CO2 without outgassing everything away in a torrent of exhaust through a carbon filter.

Also, as soon as you use the fire extinguisher, the pressure will drop after time, 24 hrs and it will be flat, and it also leaves one hell of a mess, the dry powder, like smokinrav said, its used to optimise yields when everything else is already dialled in and cant be improved on much eg lighting and nutrients
