Coco, Re-use it or chuck it ?

So I have been growing in Coco for over a year now and like how stable and clean it is along with that its hard to fuck things up with it. But recently a weed guru of sorts told me that if I wasnt re-using it I might as well go back to sunshine mix and quit wasting it because coco is made to re-use several times over its just that when you harvest plants from it you of course take it out of the pot and add some stuff to it and then put it back into the pot with a new plant and for the first few waterings, water with hygrozyme in ut to kill or eat up all the old and bad microbes, then start on your normal feeding routine. so I have several questions and here they are.
1. What do I add to the used coco to bring it back to as good or better ? the guru said that about the 4th or 5th use will be my best.

2. What types of fertilizers am I adding to it and how much per 10 gallon pot or per cubic ft or whatever ?
3. is it worth it or is it just bullshit ? coco seems fairly inexpensive.
4. what is the best brand of coco to use on an indoor grow?

Sure you could reuse it, I wouldnt though, It's totally renewable and eco friendly unlike peat , Not to mention cheap. I'd just pitch it and buy more, But that's just me, you'd need to rinse the ferts out of it and I dont like rinsing the shit

When buying new coco it's usually best to leach it like there's no tomorrow, to remove the sea salt that the coco has picked up from its environment after that a person should buffer the coco with a good dose of CalMag and plan to add a CalMag supplement for the first few runs as the coco will condition over time and get better.
That being said, Canna Coco is the Cadillac of Coco, IMHO. It has had these procedures performed before you buy.
I don't think it's particularly cheap and if treated like other hydroponic mediums instead of like soil, it will perform head to head with these other hydroponic methods.
When reuseing I pull as many of the old roots out as possible and break it up into a large container and mix in new stuff to make up for what's been lost.
I personally never bother with adding enzymes or such and have never had a problem with pathogens.
I run to waste with my nutrient solution and have never noticed any salt buildup.
I do give my plants plain water once a week.

Yeah I feed it with cal mag at least once and usaully twice a week , that makes a huge difference. Im using mills A snd B two part for food ....

I've reused it and it causes more trouble than new coco is worth, I will reuse it for mothers that I intend to chop up and not flower and ditch it all after that though.

ok...... I will just keep buying new and eventually my nieghbors will wonder were all the funny looking dirt with white pebbles in it is coming from.... time to build a 6 foot high fence.... LOL

If your neighbors are worried about dirt and perlite tell them they need to find something productive to do with their lives. Nothing illegal about dirt.

My plants usually fill the whole root zone in the container. I'm wondering how I could even begin to recover any of the coco

i never reuse my coco for a few reasons
no 1, its cheap
no 2 its full of salts that have built up from the previous grow, and would take alot of effort to clean it, just running water through it is a waste of time, you have to agitate it at the same time
no 3 when you sieve it to get all the old roots out you also remove the the hairy fibres that are present that help to oxygenate the coco
