I normally grow in hydro indoors, but I decided to set up a 4x4 in a spare bedroom for pheno hunts.
I decided to give coco a try since I was familiar with running hydro.
I use a 3x3 low-tide f/d tray running dtw. I just built a stand with some spare 3 gal buckets I had laying about to elevate the tray off of the floor and place a pail under the drain hole in the tray.
I mix about 25% perlite into my coir and run 3 gal fabric bags.
I'm finishing my current run on 5 Morning Dew from Irie Genetics.
The 3 gal bags allow me to water/feed once daily(I feed to about 20% run-off). If I was running larger plants, they would need more frequent feedings.
Just for reference, these were about 6" tall when flipped-they were all topped back to the 3rd node for a clone, flipped to 12/12, and sexed.
For nutes, I also use Jacks with Tribus bennies. I've also added Power-Si this run and it does help to stiffen stems.
