I put in 650PPM (.5 conversion) and 5.8-6.0 PH, i get runoff about 1000-1200 with PH 4.5-4.8. I suspect a lockout. I know there are a lot of threads about this and I've read most of them. My question is this:

For the flush solution, does the PH still need to be 5.8-6.0 or should it be higher in an attempt to bring the PH up?

No need to read the following:

Two sides to my thinking on this and I cant figure out which is true....if you make your flush PH high in an attempt to bring the PH up, the plants wont be able to eat the food (wrong PH) and so they'll drink the water and the concentration of salt will only go higher thus taking the PH down even lower and worsening the lockout. Or thats not true at all and the PH will indeed go up.

Second thought is just the opposite of the first thought....if you feed 5.8-6.0 then that PH will mix with the already low 4.5 ph and will only go lower thus resulting in the same thing with the plants not being able to uptake the food due to wrong PH and the salt concentration will only go up and PH will go down worsening everything, etc. Or thats not true at all and the correct 5.8-6.0 flush solution will be immediately available to the plants and will fix the issue.
