Coconut Flour

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone has used coconut flour for their garden? I know that coconut water and young coconuts work wonders for the ladies, so why not coconut flour? It's just ground up coconuts. Plus I think it would be a lot cheaper than buying coconut water. I'm going to do some experimenting on some extra plants. Anyone with prior experience please feel free to drop some knowledge!!

I suspect that the water of the coconut contains more enzymes, electrolytes and other goodies than the meat which is what they use to make the flour. Also, the flour is probably more processed possibly destroying the goodies. Just speculation though...

If they use heat in the process of making the flour more than likely it won’t have much use other than foodsource for the soil life. If that’s the case powdered oats would be a cheaper option.

I guess it all depends on how’s it’s made and what is left intact enzyme wise. Maybe treat it like malted barley and try topdressing a plant with some or mix it with water before watering. Let us know!
