Coffee grounds question.

Hello:

I am gonna mix some soil today for use right away for already rooted clones that are in plastic cups and are 7 inches tall.

How much coffee grounds in my soil should I use for vegging them? My friend here at rollitup says he transplants into 3 gallon pots for vegging and uses coffee grounds with equal parts roots organics and fox farms ocean forrest and another part sunshine mix #4 but he did not mention how many cups of used grounds per 5 gallon pot. Is it 1 cup used grounds per 5 gallons soil?

He has me makeing more soil with kelp meal for durring flowering.....when we add the 3 gallon plant to a 5 gallon pot.

Does this sound right? He does grow some awesome weed and I know he knows this is a good way but he is not here to ask the amounts of coffee.

Thanks

Thanks

coffee grounds are very high in N but lack P and K so yes, they are useful in veg state but probably only in low quantities in relation to soil
going from what you mentioned, it sounds like 1 cup would be fine
