how do you collect pollin from your males?

lots of different ways, if collecting auto pollen its easy cause its in the veg room, i use a knife and everyday look for open sacs and poke the pollen into a black film container, than apply to desired plant via q tip or fine brush I pull off empty sacs so I know the new ones popped. You could pull the sac off, cut the stem off, and bead the pollen onto the buds. shake it over the female, clip the male and put him in a glass of water with a cup around the main stem to collect pollen.

how does it collect pollen when the main stem is in a glass of water.....does the pollen just fall off into the water? And if thats it, how do you store it or keep it to use? I'm interested in trying that method but not sure how to go about it. Would be cool if you had some pics of this proceedure.
