Collecting real 'live' resin, directly from the plant. Any new ideas?

I was looking for any ideas for collecting live resin directly from the buds during flower? (no heat/pressing)
I enjoy rolling joints against buds (while they still have white hairs) to coat the paper in what appears to be a clear resin (not green or yellow). I then wondered if there is any way to collect this resin (that doesn't involve so much plant matter as hand rolling buds). I figure the best techniques have been used for ages (to collect traditional Charas). But rolling the joint on the buds gave me ideas on collecting this live resin (to see what its like when collected on mass - does it remain 'clear' is it really green? I just don't know
Taking from the idea of rolling a joint on the buds; my thought was to use long glass tubes to collect the resin (using the same technique as with a joint). Then, either wash the glass tubes in pure ethanol after collection (a quicker technique but involves a separate substance). Or, freeze and then scape the resin off with a razor. Or maybe, just keep building the resin up on the glass tubes, letting it dry in-between, then collecting more on top of the older dried resin (probably not very 'clean').

Laborious I know. But, has anyone tried collecting this resin in a different way from hand rubbing (or the classic scissor hash style)?

Bud grinder with a kief catcher. You grind the bud so you can still roll them joints but most of the kief collects in the bottom of the grinder.



You could press some hash pucks with a rosin press - or you can sprinkle some extra kief into the joints. I'll do both.

ah sorry, I should have mentioned kief, bubble hash etc in passing but didn't. I'm talking of extracting resin off the live plant during flower (while the resin is nice, liquid and fresh/alive on the buds). With the methods I mentioned I get this nice clear resin with a beautiful taste (that I don't find expressed in the final 'herbal' product).

Ever heard of BHO? That’s the only type of concentrate I know of that checks all the boxes except rosin.
Honestly though drysifted kief is likely the easiest way to separate the heads from the plant material without a lot of effort. Just let it all dry completely and then bounce on a screen. Pre-freezing the material works even better. You can find pre-cut sifting screens on eBay & just stretch them over a simple wood frame. And it is delicious; I put that shit on everything.
