...YES I'm shouting! Too many slow lazy ones these days it seems! Your right to use or grow as you know it is systematically being removed...and many do not even know it (or care apparently)

Oaksterdam University got raided today by DEA and IRS agents.

Think about it...if they will shut down a school that only *teaches* others to do, when do you think they are coming for you and me? Sooner than you think.

So...the government KNOWS there is power in numbers and they are doing their best to reduce those numbers. Guess what? IT'S ON THE NOV BALLOT THIS YEAR!

Colorado (and WA) have a chance to make the whole country sit up and take notice, IF...they get off their fat, lazy asses and make every minute count.
One can only hope that any 420 rallies this year will drive that vote message home this year... cause it's IMPORTANT! And NO I'm not talking about Obama either (epic fail there), this IS ABOUT US!

I will see what I can do resource wise trying to get the word out...be it bumper stickers, t-shirts, whatever! The message is clear: WE need to make REAL history happen this November!

I with you, would love to help if possible. There are still people that dont know about the possible legalization on the ballot. I get the reaction, "No, really? Thats cool, I'll vote for it!", all the time when I bring it up. People for once need to be a participant and not a spectator. Be a part of history and secure your future rights. Spread the word, then get your friends to register to vote, then go VOTE in November. We can do this Colorado.

Excellent post Medshed. I'm all over it. And as soon as my ship comes in (very soon, hopefully) I'm TOTALLY all over it. ;)

Personally, I thought the phrase should have said, " Regular Marijuana...NOT like Alcohol" :)

Oh... and there has been an interesting development in the post I did about the government grants by the NIH for anti-cannabis drugs...seems they didn't like me tripping up thier little game with my posts!

I'll be updating that next...

The for-profit dispensary lobby does not want unregulated cultivation. They know better than anyone that after the 2nd or 3rd cycle, the marginal costs of growing approach zero, and every grower has a surplus to deal with, and the whole idea of a "market" or an industry becomes laughable.
Ironically, they are the biggest force working against legalization movements. It feels bad to speak against them because they've done so much for us, but there it is, they are motivated by greed and may end up destroying the movement and setting us back 50 years.

The 'For Profit Dispensary Lobby' types are not the 'will' of the people. They are the will of themselves. (which they are full of, BTW). The whole idea is to TAKE AWAY the monetary demand for this plant and make it available for all.
If it isn't worth as much then:

-Cartels and the rest of the greedy scum can go F%^@ themselves. Repeatedly.
-People will not be so uptight all the damn time
-Advances can be made using only the plants NATURAL medical benefits...not reverse engineered, patented, Monsanto, mfg Lily labs crap!
-U.S. (The Prison Planet Country) can save millions and millions of dollars by reducing/eliminating prison and jail time for cannabis users for GOOD! Talk about savings!
-All those formerly mindless, control obsessed 'Law Enforcement Officers' and DEA agents can retrain in any number of growing industries. A career change may do them good!

I just got this email from the A64 campaign.

Hi!

Do you plan on voting YES on Amendment 64 and making history this November?

If so, click the link below to sign the pledge to vote YES on Amendment 64!

http://regulatemarijuana.org/pledge/em_ff

Passage of Amendment 64 will make Colorado the first place on the planet to regulate marijuana like alcohol! The world is watching to see what happens, so we've got to do everything we can to succeed.

You can help by joining supporters of marijuana reform throughout Colorado and signing the pledge to vote YES on Amendment 64. Then help spread the word to every Colorado voter you know. Can you take a moment to do that, right now?

http://regulatemarijuana.org/pledge/em_ff

Thanks for joining me in supporting this historic campaign!

Me too. The "stoners for prohibition " crowd is already cranking up the propaganda machine, which is really pissing me off. If you follow any A64 articles online you'll see all kinds of bullshit in the comments section. I'm working on creating a list of their most common lies. I want to find someone with Colorado Constitutional law experience to analyze/debunk the myths. If anyone knows of such a person, preferably someone with no ties to the industry, please let me know.

Interesting. Anyone know if Twitter allows links with topics such as ours? If you get enough people tweeting the same link it can 'trend' and it gets A LOT of eyeballs, not just from Colorado either! I have reviewed and studied arguments from both sides of the prohibition/anti-prohibition camps and know there is no 'perfect' solution. The alternative of course is worse and that is continued/increased incarceration and I won't tolerate that line of crap any longer. The madness ends now, this November, with US!

I completely agree that there is no perfect solution, at least not one that is available to us in our political process. I just want the debate to be based on fact so voters can make an informed decision.

Just read (red) the the whole amendment, looks like basically the same rights we enjoy will be afforded to anyone over 21. Tax @ 15% till 2017 and one oz instead of two... Looks like more shops will pop up (ok great for the economy) anyone can grow up to our present limits, dunno how the smoking out in public well be handled because of the "harm to others" (of coarse nazi pigs will harass, but those who respect the law who I like to think of as good honest hard working cops will hopefully respect the right). I'm not that familiar w the facilities part of the whole thing so I can't really draw any connections, but I think that it will work, a) to open up the rest of the countries eyes b) the economy will benefit c) less court spending, less of our tax money going towards our brothers and sisters locked up for non violent cannabis charges d) aliments not currently reCognized will be able to use our (their) wonderful flower. Even though its gonna be regulated "like" alcohol, I believe it will begin to show just how different they really are. Negatives I'm sure haters will find some but I suppose we can debate those arguments as they arise.

That's a good assessment, IMHO, chef. The one clarification I would add, which is my favorite part of A64, is that you can keep as much as you want at the place where you grow. For most of us, that means we get unlimited stash jars at the house! The one ounce limit is only for what you carry and/or keep around if you aren't a grower. It should be more than an ounce, but overall I can live with it.

The biggest problem I have with A64 is the rule that you can't grow outside. I think that is totally unnecessary, but I think you could get around it by building a dog run and growing in that.

The language says: POSSESSING, GROWING, PROCESSING, OR TRANSPORTING NO MORE THAN SIX MARIJUANA PLANTS, WITH THREE OR FEWER BEING MATURE, FLOWERING PLANTS, AND POSSESSION OF THE MARIJUANA PRODUCED BY THE PLANTS ON THE PREMISES WHERE THE PLANTS WERE GROWN, PROVIDED THAT THE GROWING TAKES PLACE IN AN ENCLOSED, LOCKED SPACE, IS NOT CONDUCTED OPENLY OR PUBLICLY, AND IS NOT MADE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.

A dog kennel with a lock on it sounds to me like it would be legal. The question mark is how "not conducted openly" would be interpreted. I'd love to grow my year's supply of top 3 strains over the summer and have the rest of the year to do breeding projects and/or sample new strains.
