Completely new to this topic how long left till harvest? And a couple other questions

Obviously a long way but on an Afghani plant how long would you say it should be before this particular plant is ready for harvesting?

Also, can you trim the sugar leaves and vape them when they are at this stage and still get high/buzzed?
And does it matter if you use a dehydrator or oven rather than slow drying bud when you plan on vaping or cooking with it and not smoking it?

How long have they been in bloom? you still have some time to go, at least 5 weeks maybe more depending on the quality of lights you are using, I doubt that fan leaves have any trichs and not worth smoking, there's no way imo to fast dry buds, they will taste awful, need to slow dry and cure to get good smoke, as far as cooking I have no experience with that.

About 2 weeks I think. IT is more advanced than a Sour Lemon OG and an unknown Haze strain thats supposed to be pure sativa but I'm assuming it is Mostly sativa.
5 weeks isnt too bad. its progressing at a good pace. Not super fast but it is making daily visible progress, andI meant to say sugar leaves not fan leaves. let me edit that. They have trichs on them. ALso it would make for easier trimming when the time came to harvest because there would be little to no sugar leaves or fan leaves left in the bud.

2 weeks bloom and you say it's a sativa I'd say you still have more than 5 weeks, most sativas take 10 to 12 weeks, sugar leaves sounds better, good luck.

Whoa...slow your roll cowboy! Don't start clipping sugar leaves or you'll stunt your buds. Do a proper harvest, dry and cure. Plenty of great info on that, just read the sticky posts. Using the oven will only screw up your buds. Drying ultra fast in an oven won't give enough time for the chlorophyll to degrade. That equates to harsh nasty buds. Same goes for a dehydrator, otherwise everyone would be dehydrating their buds and smoking them several hours later...

Edit: Sorry, you were asking about vaping and I don't have enough experience with that. I still stand by not clipping the sugar leaves...

Even if its 100% indica with two weeks in flower you probably have six weeks left most indicas will go atleast 8 weeks

K Cool thats what i was thinking about 8 weeks total for the afghani maybe 2-3 more for the other two.

How does it look so far? The plants are in regular garden soil in i think 1-2 gallon pots and no nutrients from seed.

it reminds me of Super Lemon Haze I recently harvested. Does not look 100% indica to me. Fat strong stem, big leaves, yet still sativa dominant.. Anyway if after 2 weeks of flowering you alr got that many pistils, my bet would be 60-70% sat and you have 6 weeks to go.

EDIT: I'm taking back my words. I went to check on my SLH in grow journal. at 14th day into flower it really looked way different. Main cola only starting to form there... top does not have any pistils.. SLH looked the way your plant does at day 21 into flowering. so yours must be more indica dom. and prob you have like 5 weeks

Lol. Cool thanks! It's wild how the lights make them grow buds with different photoperiods so fast. Very interesting plants!

also 5 week would be great! Hope that's the case.
