Concerned About Size and Leaf Coloring

This is my first grow from seed. I have done other grows but I have always started from clones so I have a few "newbie" questions. My seedlings are 20 days old and are only 3 - 4 inches tall, is this normal?? Also a couple of them have some yellowing in the leaves that has just appeared, any ideas?? The system is an aeroponic system using GH 3-part nutes with Grotek's Pro-silicate and Green Fuse's Root Stimulator as additives. The Nutes are currently at 1/3 strength and a ph of 5.6. Please Help.:wall::wall::dunce:

I should note that I have been afraid to ramp up the nutes given the plant sizes. I have only done one adding of nutes and that was from 1/4 strength to 1/3 strength and thats when I began to see the yellowing.

Yellowing isn't a sign of too much nutes, but not enough nitrogen.

You're PH may be a little low for the strain, and blocking some nutes. Since you already raised the nutes, I'd try raising the PH a couple points.

The lights could also come down a couple inches. :joint:

You should have the nute load in the 400-500 ppm range

Be sure your pH is adjusted daily to 5.5.

If you are using RO then adding 100ppm calmagplus might help.

Thanks for the help with this problem. I have adjusted the nutes like earl suggested. I also dumped the cfl's for a 400w MH. I also switched the timing from 15 on and 15 off to 1min on and 4min off. All of them seem to be perking up and taking off. :bigjoint::weed:

side note - i will be starting a grow journal for these seedlings shortly.
