[h=2]Voodoo-Star Strain Review & Genetic History[/h]
Voodoo-Star (VDS) is one of the most unique strains available on the market today. Everything about this strain is absolutely one-of-a-kind! Getting a clone of this strain is
next to impossible unless you personally know someone growing it and can scrape-up a nice enough "tip" to persuade them to actually give you a clone of this rare strain.
APPEARANCE: An incredible array of kaleidoscope colors like Plums & Peaches, Pinks & Oranges, sprinkled with Opaque spots of green, glistening with amber-colored eye-ball sized trichs is almost overwhelming to the eye. At first glance, this strain can look fake...almost like a real-life Photo-Shop picture. While growing, VDS has a very Haze-like appearance and has longer node spacing. Both the stem and fan-leaves have reddish-purple stripes that run up & down the entire plant.
AROMA/TASTE: Voodoo-Star's aroma is best described as having an "organic" or "earthy" head with several unique floral undertones. Comparing the taste or aroma of Voodoo-Star to other strains is nearly impossible as thats truly how unique this strains palette really is. VDS is smooth on the inhale and REALLY comes through with an earthy/organic flavor on the exhale. (Sometimes a hint of licorice or anise can accompany the overall earthiness that Voodoo-Star is famous for but this seems to be on a plant-to-plant basis.)
EFFECT: The high that VDS
offers is subtle at first and grows stronger and stronger as time goes on. VDS has a "blissful" and "cerebral" high at first and then gets "Intense" & "Euphoric" towards the end. An average high will last between 2 1/2hrs & 4hrs depending on what time of the day you consume it.
STRAIN-HISTORY: VDS is a Hybrid that tends to show more Sativa-like traits in it's appearance, however, has very strong Indica-like traits in all other aspects. There are a lot of pheno-types that are confused with true VDS on a regular basis. The most common mix-up for Voodoo-Star is "Purple-Voodoo". While VDS did acquire genetics from "Purple Voodoo", they are two entirely different strains, in and of themselves. "Death-Star", "Morning Star" & "Sensi-Star" are commonly thought of as the 2nd parent in the VDS strain. After growing this strain for almost 3yrs now, I can firmly offer my opinion that this is a Sensi-Star x Purple-Voodoo mix. There is a pheno-type of "Heavy-Duty-Fruity" that is also very similar to VDS in terms of aroma/taste but lacks it's physical appearance & unique medicinal effects.
As the majority of this info has been put together by me, please feel free to add anything of importance or any info that might help tract the genetics down!
