Okay grow noob here.

Building a grow box myself and ive actually got a box of about 15 - 12w CFL bulbs in my house.

Can I set up 15 sockets and plug them all in. Will that be equal to 1 180w bulb? Im not sure the kevlin measure of them.

How and ever do the lumens combine to efficiently supply light in order for the plants to grow? :?:

Sorry im a noob myself and im setting my little cabinet up, but one thing i do suggest is when wiring up ur light fittings make sure your fuse and wires are capable of running that amoutn of amps and volts. See im very cautious of the fire risk so i only wired up 4 fittings to each plug, also keep your light fitting and bulbs horizontal not vertical for maximum lightbulb/lumen effiecency. Another suggesting is atatched the fitting to springs/clamps so if u need to more a fitting to cover a part of plant that has little light you can.

Personally i would prefer to use 180w of 23w bulbs than 1 180w bulb as youll get more coverage being able to place them about, but thats my opinion.

sorry if i was of no help

At least go with the 26watt cfl.... If its your first grow just forget about lumens and all the fancy stuff... Keep it simple and trust me, the plant will grow
As you get more comfortable and start getting the hang of it you can always add lights later and move things around as needed..... check out my grow in my signature

15 x12 is fine

put them on a surge protector

that is enough light to veg 4 big plants

as far as the Kelvin goes - plug them in = if they burn really white then they are low K and good for vegging and conisidered to be blue.

if they are orange/red they are higher and better for flowering

however you should ideally use 70% blue and 30% red, but you can use all blue for vegging and its fine.
