Confused about how to plant germinated/sprouting seeds!

I'm confused on whether to plant the germinated/sprouting seeds with the tap root facing up or down? I've researched this and i found information on both ways. I already planted a seed with the root facing up. Is this going to ruin my plant/seed? Thanks to anyone that can help..

Hi chap the sprout should be planted down and will become the root mass... the seed part will form the leaves so sprout down...

Root down. Or as a bean, pointy end down. Gotta get it right in rockwool cubes, or you get a really bad start
