Considering my first DWC grow

I currently grow in 4 x 20L tubs, coca/pebbles and Canna Coco Grow Guide throughout. It's small tent, 60cmx60cm so I'm pretty limited on space. Hand watering, drain to waste.

Considering a single plant grow in this pot...

It's got a 19L capacity but I'm concerned about the nutrient maintenance. Could I just completely refresh the reservoir once a week and depend on a straight forward Canna Grow guide (Aqua range) without bothering with ec/hp?.

The more often you change your rez, the more certain you can be that the EC/TDS is similar to where it started when you mixed it. As long as the nutrient mix isn't too strong to start with, regular refreshing of the rez should keep things pretty stable. EC really comes in handy when you're trying to 'maintain' the nutrient mix strength, or figure out where it is from the start (or just seeing how shitty your water is). Even with EC, you can't be totally sure what nutrients your plants are using more than others: best way to be sure is to refresh it.

Yeah, a 20L weekly reservoir change wouldn't be a problem and nutrients cost work out about the same compared to my current feeding schedules. I'd also able to leave the plant on long weekends without worrying about feeds too...

starting around week 3-4 you will start having to PH more often than once a week, but you should be checking everyday. In the later stages of flowering you will need to top off/ change nutes more often even with a 20L res. My ladies drink 1-2 gallon a day in late stage flowering. DWC is much more set and forget in the first couple weeks than the later. Don't be too the increase costs of changing more often the last few weeks, once you get a feel for your strain you can REALLY push them last few weeks with very controlled ppm it will show.
