container growing newbie please help

I've just moved to South Florida and I want to grow my own food. I am learning as I go. I started out with a few bean seeds. They are the plants shown in the clay pot. They are not looking too good. Then in the rectangle is arugula, oregano, and basil. Then in the small pots are some squash seeds I've just started and in the other white small round pot is an herb mix. None of the stuff is looking as good as I think it should. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
