Hi all, I have six beautiful blue cheese plants growing from seed, trying to get a female or two, for clones, anyway my containers are 1/2 gal. Will these containers be big enough to get the plants big enough to sex? I have a small home made grow unit, six by four by two feet.

I think that it would depend on how big you would like them to be when you sex them, Im guessing that a 1/2 gallon pot will not be large enough

Allow 1-1 fi gallons of soil/soilless mix for each month
the plant will spend in a container.

Plant Age Container Size
0-3 weeks root cube
2-6 weeks 4-inch pot
6-8 weeks 2-3 gallon pot
2-3 months 3 gallon pot

Depends of the medium and the system. i use 3/4 gallon pots with Coco Coir in my hydrosystem and I have grown plants 6' tall. I have pictures so just trust me on this one. Because I am watering them 3 times a day with proper nutrients they don't need 3 or four feet of roots. If you are just going to clone for sex and then move them into flowering you can get them big enough in 1/2 gallon pots. If your not using some type of aero or hydro system then you will need 3 gallon pots to finish.
