Contamination?

So i Have started my jars with a perlite and rice flour mix and have not gotten any with contamination of blue mold, but there is a little yellow area around the inoculation sites in some jars. anyone out there know if this is a bad thing? The spores are growing and i am getting good little white threads but i just dont want to fuck them up... any advice?

sorry that there are no pics to show anyone but i cant get it to show up. it kind of looks like it was a bit too wet just where i put the spores in.

perlite or vermiculite??? the only advice one can give without pics is: post some pics :D or just wait it out and see how it looks after more mycelium development. Some areas my get a weird off white color when the myc starts to spread out

I hope OP meant vermiculite...

Like yellow where the needle tip can close to the inside of the jars?

How yellow are we talkin'? Does the yellow colored portion look like it's a different texture than the white myc?

Maybe you could isolate it and watch it...

so i have come to think that i got a bad batch of spores b/c all the jars have started growing blue mold towards the injection sites. however the yellow areas have totally been taken over by bright white goodies.
i had almost given up hope but i thought that why not see what happens! so i have added the uncontaminated areas of the cakes to castings out in the back yard in a large rubbermade container. it has been kind of cool up here lately so i expected that there would be very slow growth but com to find out that the white myc has started to heal where it was broken when i added it to the mix and has started to spread over the castings. also it looks as if the blue mold is not spreading or is being killed by the good. i just added hay to the mix and am thinking of bringing it back in side to keep it warmer. any one got any ideas about it. i dont want to contaminate my grow room but also want to speed up the myc growth.please help!

It wasnt your syringes. It was your sterile technique. Did you pc or steam sterilize? What was your innoc tek?

Also dont bring it back indoors as it will surely contaminate.
