Cool cab 24 days in...

Hi all, new to this post thing. So Ill try my best. I am going to try to post a few pics. These are my babies. Purple trainwreck X Romulan. They have been going for 24 days. My tallest is brimming 13 inches, my smallest about 5. Bought the feminized seeds so no males. Wondering what advice you all got on when to start the flowering cycle. At about 16 inches they will be about half way between the box and light so Im not sure how much more they grow after you flower. And Im wondering about cloning too. I have a cloning chamber with a seperate bulb and a little set up but when should i cut from my plants and what to do when they are ready to transfer to the bucket? Do I run them the same nutrient level as the others? All advice is appreciated.

Hey fellow Cool Cabber, I do clone mine. I top them about a week before I start the flower cycle. This helps to keep the height down. My last grow, 1 plant grew into the light, but not too much damage cause the coolng fan in the light. I will be cloning my current ones (which were clones from my first grow, the tops), that have been in there almost a month vegging this weekend. The I will start flowering next week. My heights about the same as yours right now. My tallest is just over 13 inches. Check out my grow #2. As for nutes on the clones, I just use pure water until they show signs of growth. Mke sure you are misting the leaves everyday though, this is the only way the new clones get moisture until they root. Good luck

Smart growers do not e-mail about growing or surf grow sites on a computer located in a grow house. Remember, a person never knows who is peeking at a transparent e-mail. Firewall software alerts and protects the user against another party tracking a surfing path or to unauthorized entry into their computer. Ask at your local software store for security software to keep unwanted computer spooks subdued.

I am not trying to sound paranoid or spread paranoia, just thought since Amy was "new to the post thing" she should be aware of some basic precautions available to everyone. No hidden motives, just good karma. People like Amys3977 and Chiceh should be commended for taking the time to share all of their growing experiences and amazing pictures so we all can benefit!

Im still trying to figure out why I havent been able to post pics but thought Id post some updated info about my little grow...I had to modify my box a bit. The cool cab comes with a cloning chamber in the top which is completely useless if you are flowering because of the light cycle. So I took it out and mounted my lights to the very top of the cab. Gave me a couple more feet to work with thank god cuz these plants are growing like...well...weeds. I also had to purchase a bubble curtain, the airstone that comes with the kit is ridiculously small !!! I had alot of problems with root rot cuz I was keeping too much water in my res. also I had to cover the top of the res. with black bags to keep the root rot from flourishing. Bummer is I paid for feminized seeds and out of 9 I had 5 boys...they had to die...I cried...it was not good. Only problem I am having now is controlling my humidity. I need to drop my humidity and havent figured out a good way to do it yet that I am satisfied with. Whole things pretty amazing, I feel like a botonist now or something...I never seen a plant thru a whole grow cycle and with 3 weeks left and trichomes forming before my very eyes I must say...its a beautiful thang!!! And Id also like to add that I am in fact a medical cannabis user and cardholder, Im not too worried about being spyed on,specially on the internet. If the right people wanna know what Im up too all they gotta do is ask. But thanks anyways for those who are worried on my behalf.

I have humidity problems too, I havent figured a way to control it without shellin out big bucks

You know I went and bought one of those canisters that are supposed to absorb moisture from your gun cabinet and it didnt work for crap. It was called safe dry 2.I checked out ebay and found a cool compact little device Im hoping it works but I wont get it for at least a week, hoping thatll do the trick. In the mean time I think Ill try another brand of those gun safe things. I also put a bowl of dry rice and salt in the bottom of my cab and it dropped about 3 %, not enuff for me but thought it was interesting none the less. Ill let you all know what works when I find it !!!

Hey Amys, did you figure out how to post pics yet.
If not, go advanced, click on manage attatchments,
and make sure to size it down if it is to big...I'm curious
to see it.

Amy, what is you humidity, temps, and is your rez fully covered to help slow down evaporation?

trying to post pics...thanks for advice here are a few from a week or so ago. Ill take some more tonight and post em.

My temp is about 75 in the daylight hours and about 68 in the dark phase. My humidity is running about 60%. My res. is completly covered with black garbage bags.

Here I am at 8 1/2 weeks into flowering. ALMOST DONE. Anyways more into the humidity problems...I bought a few of the gunsafe ones called Rem-Dri made by Remongton. I placed 2 and didnt see a difference. Then I bought a cool one that is rechargable by plugging it in off of ebay. I placed them all and even though my humidity guage didnt see a significant difference I did noticed a difference in the plants. They started to develop ALOT more trichomes.Now I am having problems because the plants are so tall they are touching the light. I have a cool tube around the light so not a HUGE deal but they are suffering slightly.Well I will post some new pics later today probably. Im still not 100% sure how to harvest but I am going by fdd2blk's harvet...a manual thread and taking his word for it.
