cool tube glass material

were can i get glass tubing to make a cool tube for my lights i know u can buy the pyrex shit but its only 3 3/4 wide i need some thing thats like 6 inch cuse i dont think my mh bulds will fit in the pyrex easy bake tube.

Its not really available to the average person. I can order it online but your minimum order would put you well past just buying a cooltube.

I use a few 6" cooltube. but plan to replace them with 8" soon.

that must be why buying a real cool tube light is so expensive

I know you can get a glass candle shade at your local arts and crafts store or you can order it online here(http://www.save-on-crafts.com/glcycash10in.html). I think if it can handle heat from a candle flame than it should be able to take on a hps or mh especially because its being air cooled. I got one similar to this at Joann's arts and crafts for $9.95.

A 400w halide or larger won't fit in the michaels craft store candle chimney, 250 or less ok.

so has anyone found one that really works and is cheap for a 400 watter???
