I have a cabinet inside my closet. Its actually a marshall amp. The cab has intake/outake fans with light traps. Inside are 1 table fan and 1 cpu fan cooling the lights. They intake and exhaust into the closet, which is not vented.
I just changed to 26w cfls and it got very hot, near or over 100 degrees. I need a way to cool the closet enough to cool the cab. The door is left open during lights on and I have no a/c in my room, only 1 in the living room. I have the option to put an a/c in my room but I would like to avoid it.
A friend suggested freezing 2 gallon jugs and placing them by the intake and outake. Obviously put them in something to collect condensation.
Would that cool down that cabinet, drawing air over the frozen blocks?
Any other ideas that don't involve drilling into my attic or basement?
Thanks in advance!
