I posted about this in the newbie forum but feel this might be a more appropriate setting, so don't stone me (or maybe do)
Thanks for your time and advice.
My Box is roughly 4x7 feet and 7 feet tall. 28 Square foot. 196 Cubic feet.
I have one inline fan that exhaust 438 CFM out of the top of my box
I'm having an issue with keeping my box cool enough for 2 1000w lights (one HPS one MH)
Even with just the one 1000w HPS I was running a bit hot, but keen humidity ranges. I've now set another 1000w MH in my box and had the temperature start to soar, hit ~90 degrees F, needless to say I unplugged the 1000w HPS until I can remedy my temp issue.
From what I've read online I ought to have passive air intakes roughly 2x the size of my exhaust fan area, so I'll be making two 6" holes and covering them in screen (the kind you would have on a screen door or window)
I'll also be moving my exhaust inline fan to be directly in line with my two hoods.
currently my inline fan is at a damn near 45 degree angle from my lights.
so hood1>duct>hood2>duct>6"inline fan>ducting to the next room since I'll be drawing my intake from my box room.
Also planning to straighten and shorten my ducting to the next room as much as possible.
What do you guys think, will this tame the temps?
Thanks again.
