Cooperative/collective questions

Man this is so overwhelming. I'm starting a collective or cooperative in California. Either Nevada or siskiyou county. Can I just get a bunch of people & their medical recommendations and grow 6 plants per person/recommendation? What's the best way to be able to grow 20+ plants legally? Help please.

You can't start a collective by getting recommendations. The only way to start a collective here is with CASH, and lots of it. You need to get licensing, permits, lawyers, land, etc, if you plan on going the legal route. Gathering recommendations and stating you're are a care-giver WILL NOT hold up in court if you're are caught. It's a good way to land yourself an intent to distribute charge, amongst other felonies. You need to do a ton of research ! Roll it up is not the place to do it ! I'd suggest hiring a lawyer beofre anything.

Idk laws in CA, but cant you just get an increased plant count for yourself? (Through the medical system) I know it use to be you could get up to a 99 plant count for yourself there.. I've got a 70 plant count in my med state. I can legally grow 35 In veg & 35 In flower. So I'll do 35 full season plants and 25-30 light dep. My attorney said it's good to stay under your plant count.

If you have Facebook check out Michael Cindrich. He's an attorney in the weed industry. Look on his page for a recent win where a jury through out a case on a dude growing quite a few plants. He claimed he was a collective but didn't even file his paperwork until after getting busted. Long story short CA juries aren't convicting anyone.

If you're getting into opening a storefront/collective, a lawyer is pretty much mandatory.

Worked for a dispensary many years ago, guy's first order of business was lawyering up before even thinking of anything else. The guy never acted without consulting his lawyer first.

Lawyer up or don't even bother honestly.
