Cops got me and my baby tonight....

So my retarded ass brother was apparently doing something fucking stupid and caused the cops to come and search my apartment. They found her and a half. Class B misdemeanor. She was soooooo beautiful.. I was protesting the legality of weed the entire time. I let everyone of them know OUR views on the plant and the purposes of it. I asked them, and I quote, "What is this hurting, besides our economy?" and they started telling me about how different peoples highs are different and that some guys get high and strip down naked and their running down the road and that they are the cops that have to step up to this "superman" and take him down. I stared blankly and said well I guess I've never experienced those people, the people I get high with just get happy and hungry... Anyways. She was taken from me though. they only charged me with poss. of marijuana; whereas, they could have weighed the whole thing and charged me with a felony. Well I guess I'm on the next....after I get outta streets, got 24hrs to be gone.

I don't know what he could have done to give them probable cause to come to the house and search it. The way he worded it sounded like his brother did something stupid, then they came later and searched the apartment.

i like how everyone assumes the cops have no rights to come in or search. This is something i see over and over. They dont need a warrant if the is a public saftey call or concern. If you barracade in your home they can get swat, if you open the door they have every right. Dont believe me first download the Health and saftey code for your state, then get a synopisis of the
code reguarding search and also search and seizure.....

If a theft occured and theres reason to believe theres stuff in there from said theft than they need no warrant depending on state. Once let in the house for anything there is no longer a need for one. If that was the case than its the OP own fault.

Yeah I was just wondering if they entered the house with a warrant, if they were let in, or if they had cause to enter without one. Too many people let cops in because they think they have to.

Or because they think your not aloud to say no you cant come in....Plus saying no looks suspicious so its a lose lose... I would say nope you cant and step outside to talk....Close THE door. the longer they can see inside, they might find a reason to enter....Like a bong being in view is automatic. Seen many people busted this way.

Even if they had probable cause, if it wasnt weed they were looking for then they cant get you for that anyway!! Once my brother did some crazy shit and the cops showed up to try and find clothes they said the suspect had on. Me and my other bro was at home and ready to twist up a fatty. When one of the cops checked the bedroom,it was on a tray with papers, scissors,weed sac. We thought for sure were busted. when the cop came out,he never said a word about it. So when they left, we went back into the room to see what was up and everything but the tray was gone. Looked into the little waste basket next to the bed and there it was in the trash! They figured they wasnt there for weed, so they must've figured we probably wouldnt find it in there. Plus it would've been normal to think they took it with them.....It was L.A.P.D.!!! :) But then again...depends on where your living. L.A.P.D. has "Way" bigger fish to fry!!

Theres a difference between letting you off the hook and not being able to do anything about it. If you let the cops in your house for any reason, whether it's your choice or they have a warrant. ANYTHING found on that property can be used against you.

Id have to disagree. If Im at home and have done something to have the cops show up and they later find or see weed, than why can they not press charges for it? Its a law being broken isnt it......But Im not sure on Calis laws.

under these views... No officer i was speeding you cant bust me...............

Wtf during the course of a investigation they can stumble on many other crimes happens all the time

Let me clarify on something here.....If Im not mistaken, they did have a warrant and just certain items of clothing was stated on it. Nothing else! So I believe that why they didnt do anything. Would've a ticket anyway.
