I have a question for anyone that has grown in a corn field before. I planted a little late so it should be a good time to go visit the field and give them a blast of fertilizer. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I should feed it this weekend?

how do i like your post??Besides the possibility of the farmer using a roundup strain of corn,growing in a corn field has risks of being spotted from above...by LEO or by a hired crop duster. When corn is nearing its harvest stage, the whole field starts to yellow off. A marijuana plant(s) in the field will be green and would stick out. Crop dusting should be completed before that stage, but sometimes a farmer will have his field surveyed by air for agricultural reasons. Either way, the color difference is distinct.

So wrong on all accounts.If it is a commercial farm it will have all the nutrients it needs. You need to start when the corn is younger or they will stretch real bad. Oh and if it is a commercial field they are most likely dead because they use gmo corn resistant to herbicides. If it is alive is has been sprayed with god knows what and good luck smoking that crap.

Speaking from corn/soybean farm country, what is good for the corn may not be good for anything else. Corn has been GMOd to use fertilizer more effectively so farmers can put less fertilizers into the ground. Also corn is notoriously hard on the soil. It sucks up everything which is why the fields always have to fertilized for each crop. By the time corn is harvested, the soil is pretty much ruined. A marijuana plant may be thriving at the start, but will become stressed due to the competition of the corn. Farm ferts are expensive and farmers put in as little as possible and it is in the first foot or so of soil. That is why so much of it runs off during heavy rains.So wrong on all accounts.

Not where I grew up. It is applied frequently. There is more than enough in the corn fields. I would check late in the year after corn has turned colors. The only thing that might be concern is corn needs high amounts of n.
