Me and a friend of mine thought of this, as I was taking massive rips. Right before attemping to cash a 1g bowl in a single hit, we figured a cough drop would be bomb, not in our mouth but dissolved in the water! Unfortunately we had none. The next day though, we remembered (how the fuck..) and got some vicks vapo-drops. Spearmint They are awesome coughdrops... very strong 
. We put one in the perc, and one in the main chamber of the bong and let them dissolve.
The hits you take are a lot smoother, and "minty". I hardly cough, but this does not make your invincible to cough. You can definitely feel the menthol chill and it's a nice addition (probably would ruin your dank flavor, though! They work a lot better dissolved... and work for 24 hours roughly (work well, at least).
