Could this be because of root rot?

Hello,

My plants are in their 15 day flowering. I have been bottom watering every time plants feel light, every 5-7 days. I thought I had a nutrient excess because some leaves are "clawing", but not sure anymore. Today I took a look at the bottom and the roots seem to have root rot, but I can only see the bottom roots coming out.

PH should not be an issue because every watering is around 5.8-6.4. I have been giving nitrogen (half strength) and started flowering nutes a week ago at half strength. Some magnesium from time to time too. Temperatures are around 26C, humidity is low (around 40%), when lights are off about 60% or a bit more.

Is this root rot, excess nutes, or lack of nutes? It's the only plant with this kind of yellowing.

Yea it is a sign of root rot. Yellowing bottom leaves/black tips. The veins are more green than a typical N deficiency.

Looks like you can get in top of it as the whole plant doesn’t look limp.

I use Hygrozyme if I get root issues. Cleans the media of any dead roots.

Also bear in mind some plants prefer having wetter feet than others but generally cannabis likes a free draining soil. Looks like the plant wants less water/less often.

GL!

i dont think its root rot ,ftom ur folage burns to foliage curling Thats straight signs of nitrogen toxicity

If it was me i would lower your N , every pheno has its limited and its obvious that pheno does not want as much as ur supplying.

That looks more like historic N tox that it’s gotten over. Leaves change shape as it goes up the plant, highest leaves look ok to me

What’s the container size? Are you using soil?

If you’re running soil, you could be rootbound. That pot looks pretty small to me, and in my experience, plants will get stressed a lot more easily in small containers of soil than something like coco. There is an explosion of growth in early flower, and remember, what goes on above the soil surface is also growing-on below the surface. The root mass is growing and spreading. Limiting this space can choke off the plant and severely stress it out.

Personally, I’d attempt to transplant this plant into a larger “home” and see how it recovers.
