I am new at growing from seed as I have always used clones.I germinated my seeds no problem, and they are now in small pots and about 2 inches tall.My questions are this#1-is 24 hours of continuous lighting ok? #2-how often do I water? and #3-when should I begin to use nutes? Any help would be much appreciated!Thanx.

24/0 is what I use in clone and veg up till now anyway. It has worked very well for me but I cant't say it's the "best" way or not. Sure as hell won't kill them I can say that for sure.

1. i used 24hrs of lighting for my entire veg phase once the plant showed leaves. yes, 24hrs is great as long as your using the correct lighting.
2. i simply mist them to the point that theyre moist whenever i feel theyre completely dry. roughly every 2-3days. if you miss a day it wont kill them.
3. i didnt have the need for nutes untill the end of week 2 of veg. watch for the bottom leaves to start yellowing, thats when they need nutes to stop eating from their own storage. just make sure you have correctly adjusted the pH of your water, if they get too many nutes the tips will burn and curl.

24hours of light is fine, but using 18light and 6 dark there is no major difference, its still up to debate whether or not they grow faster with a 6 hour dark period or 24 light period.

Question 2 and 3: If you wanted to make sure they did their best you could water them with 1/4 cup of water 2-3 times a day(make sure not to go past 1cup otherwise you'll have overwatering problems). Your soil is going to determine when to start adding nutes, if its high quality soil you can go about a month without adding nutes, but if its soiless you want to feed them nutes when they have at least 4-6nodes(also determined on your plants genetics, becareful not to overfeed, I would start with a 1/8 strength feed so I could feed them nutes every watering).

I personally think you should gradually bring your lighting schedule down to 18/6. #1 I have always had a much healthier stockier plants by trying to mimic mother nature as much as possible. When you give your plant a dark period it gives itself a chance to catch up using all the light it has stored during the day to make sugers and grow nodes and foliage. #2 When it is time for you to put your plant under a flowering schedule 12/12 it will not stress the plant out so much which is something you want to try not to do at all cost . Switching the light scedule so drastically makes the plant stretch even worst the first few weeks of flowering. Hope this helps and lastly you save 6 hrs of electricity out of the deal which may not seem like much but it adds up quick when you use it every day. PEACE THE SIZZLER
