Couple of questions about making ice water hash

So after I mix it all up with ice and what have you I strain that matter off...let's say I use a larger pored screen then it would keep all the larger bits out, but let pass more than I want...so could I then restrain all that through let's say a coffee filter and keep what gets stuck? Maybe...or just need to find another screen with smaller sizes? I need the lazy broke man's advice...lol.

nah i wouldnt use a coffee filter its gonna trap to much best bet is buy a smaller screen there not that expensive

Hell the cheapest I can find the proper size screen locally is $25...and on the net I can get one off of amazon for like $12.74...I ghetto did it by just siphoning off the top of the water and then letting it settle and then siphoning off more water so on and so forth...got quite a bit...just did one filtering with holes just large enough to keep out all the plant. It was a piece of Bridal Tulle I am cheap, and also resourceful... I like to upcycle whatever I can...it is just in my nature. I have been poor for a long time I guess...lol.
Got a good bit of end product...it is crumbly though more so than "hash-y"...that's alright though...I got to try some for the first time today, and dear heavens...I think my eyes went crossed...

and just so we are all straight the coffee filters caught nothing...lol...they turned slightly green, so I feel like I probably just filtered out all the tiny plant material... I did get lazy on the last batch and didn't finish siphoning, and now it is gross...everything on the bottom is all squishy...ah well we'll see how it goes I guess...the water weed mix started to smell really really weedy...it appears as though the remaining plant material has started to break down in the remaining water...not sure if I should use whatever I dredge off the bottom...any suggestions? Keep, don't keep...?

i cut the bottoms off of 2 small mop buckets. took 4 pieces of window screen and layed on top of each other turning each screen so that they lay in a diff position. put a bucket upside down and lay the screening on top and push the other bucket over the screen. now you have 2 buckets with a screen in between. now that bucket will fit inside of a 5 gal. bucket. its not as good as bubble bags but it does the trick and can be used over and over. if you need some pics let me know and ill take a few shots.

i also save 1 of the buckets cut bottom and makes a nice plate to dry and form your medicine.
