First I would like to thank everybody who was with me through my first grow!!! All the help was very appreciated!!
Hold on I need to go burn this in the other room with my favorite girl!
I'm back now...
I'm planning to get a perpetual grow going. Let me start with what I know.
To start with I'll be growing some seeds I had gifted to me. I have.....
4 Purple Jesus seeds.
1 White Widow.
3 of another that he lost the name of.
On top of I have more bag seeds and misc unknown named strains than I know what to do with.
I plan to grow from seed, clone, and hopefully breed some day! Let me put the pics up, them I'll talk some more.
First the construction... I still need to build the wall that will separate the flower area from the rest of the room. The veg area will be a cabinet with florescent lights, make and model still to be determined. The drying cabinet is exactly what it sounds like, more later.... All of the wall are going to get covered in plywood, I think the basement will be to moist for drywall. Everything will then be painted white. I plan to get mylar for were it's required.
Then on to the lights. I only have 1 light right now. I'm planning to have the other in time for flowering. Chances are I'll get the light from the local hydro store again. I know it costs a little more, but I like to be able to get replacement parts the day I need them not a couple weeks later.
Now the venting of the lights...... All of the vented hoods and cool tubes (which one would you recommend?) I've seen are 6" in and 6" out. Is it going to be a problem to have 4" in? If I went with a 6" in, I'd feel it necessary to have a 8" fan to ensure the proper air flow?????? OoOhHh that was a gooood one.... All the lines will be at the top of the walls. I plan to take pics of the room tomorrow as I finish cleaning it out. The ceiling is 7'. I have the room between the joists, that run up and down in the pic.
I really hope the DIY carbon filter I made works. What CFM should I use for it? I've read that most of them are best at about 200 cfm. True or false?
The dehumidifier is probably going to be needed. That is something I should be able to put of for a little while. Same goes for the Co2. I have a 1200 lb tank. I know it's over board but.... Co2 is Co2 Right? It's a welding tank that I've had for a little while. I can get if filled at work nice and cheap. A regulator and hoses are on my list of things to get. A nice controller would be to if money was better. Any suggestions on controlling would be great. If it's even necessary?!?!?!?
I'm done for tonight. More as the days go on and I get things done.
Everybody is welcome to leave comments, suggestions, or what ever else might come to mind.
