So I'm curious I'm very new to growing and my germination rate with my bag seed has been quite low (around 60%). This is an issue I'm working on please neglect the insults.
In my bag seed however there are quite a few cracked seeds. Out of curiosity I removed the hearts from any cracked seeds. and put them in wet jiffy pods. surprisingly a few days later 100% of the 8 cracked seeds had sprouted (creating an issue of too many plants lol) But still I was quite shocked by this and am wondering if anyone else has any word on why this is working better. I realize its most likely that the hearts are just getting better water and getting less resistance to the soil from the seed. Is this an actual method of saving cracked seeds or should you germinate them normally?
