This is my 2nd grow (1st one was a male) and I'm getting the same problem I had with the first.
First off. I don't have pictures yet as my roommate's digital cam is the only one I have access to, and he's out of town until this Tues.
Second, my setup. I have a GH Waterfarm, with the 3 part flora-gro, micro, bloom nutes, my light is a 4ft vitalume t5 54w bloom/grow tubes that I swap out in a 4' strip w/ no reflector.
Third, my plant. She's about 3 weeks into flowering with noticable bud tops already forming, I have her on a 12/12 light cycle and she's not on a water cycle, I just leave the pump running 24/7.
Now, my problem. The older leaves on my plant (mostly the big fan leaves in the middle but some of the lower bud leaves as well) start to crisp up and roll in (the length of the stem) on itself, aside from this there's pratically nothing wrong with them, some brown spots on them but those are limited to 2-3 leaves on the entire plant (and there are only 2-3 spots per leaf). The new leaves feel like leaves are supposed to feel, but I'm worried that the way these older leaves are acting will spread to the rest of the plant, and thus die.
These older leaves have yet to die, but they've felt like this through the end of the veg into these weeks of flowering.
At first I thought it was nute lockup, tried flushing with water (*non-filtered water) and that just made it worse, did some more research and came to the conclusion that my pH was off, i've since ordered a pH regulating kit, w/ pH Up and Down and another pH tester.
*The pH of the water here starts at 7.5+ out of my faucet and 6.5ish through a filter. I know that hydro works best in the 5.8-6.2 range of pH. So I used the nutes to bring the filtered water down to a nice 6 but its slowly going up the longer it stays in circulation.
What I'm asking, is for any ideas or advice on my problem. Am I heading in the right direction? Should I flush with the filtered water? Could it be anything else besides the pH? Is there anything I can do to help her (if it is the pH), while I wait for my kit to come in the mail?
ps. Pics will be added to this post as soon as I can get them.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer!
