Critical Kush , 344w CFL Scrog in my homemade tent

Well I'm back into the growing game again, been putting it off for 2 months now due to moving issues but still have enough time for another batch.. Doing things a little bit differently this time around, Going with 344watts of Pure CFL equivalent ( 6x 42w and 4x 23w) going with bigger pots, a scrog and better cooling

 Developed by the Barneys Farm team. An unusual blend of fine genetics.  Critical Kush is a blending of  the famous Critical Mass with OG Kush.  This is a powerful and extremely vigourous indica plant, yielding huge  amounts of beautiful stoney  kush. Flowers in just 8 weeks indoors, and  grows medium height with great flower-to-leaf ratio. Will post pictures when their up and started, on day 2 now. seeds will be up in 24 hours.. Building a carbon filter tomorrow since the OG Kush ( and I'm selling mad weight), and a screen for the scrog.. Upgrading to 2x 240w blackstar's or a 500w blackstar. did my ol' direct soil germination. I've had 99.9% rate with my steps

Temps at 75F, with 25% Humidity

Will post more on the tent.. Been helping a few local growers with ideas lately

Well quick update. Built a carbon filter attached to my 150cfm fan. Works amazing. Should help. I have 2 boxes of carbon in the thing and personally I think this strain is going to stank... Also all my seeds popped so have 4 lovely babies. Solid temps at 75-80 ( since my room is oddly warm tell I put my air conditioner in ) But following my last grow, this should be a lot better and better yield.. Gotta spend money to make money. or save money lol...

I am excited to see how it turns out. I grow Mazar kush, Liberty Haze and my most recent addition is critical kush so this should be exciting comparing our pheno types and such. Good luck on your grow!

u def need 2 get those lights closer man..i no u dont have many and tryin spread out as much as possiable but they def 2 far away......CFL=1"-2" AWAY AT ALL TIMES!!!

They were only that far because I was taking a video and just added more dirt into the pots. makes it easier to get out to pots.. otherwise only few inches at all times.. since their younglins dont need to be super close since 42w's and lots of em.will have 8 42w's in once flowering and maybe some side t5 or t8's depending what I find tell I get my 500w blackstar, or 2x 240's

Pics up soonish. have over 2 weeks left on veg then flipping them

Now using 200CFM intake and exhaust, put up some more ducting. and added 3 new fans ( 1x 12" and 2x 8" clip fans) ! all osculation
Also fixed all light leaks and make tent 100% airtight for carbon filter and added more carbon just incase

.. can't even notice the tent is on anymore.. so bonus for stealth!
2x 240w blackstar's soon for flowering/ mid flowering temps will drop like mad man for summer

done the first week, now two more left! and theses are good days for veg ( fast growth) Personally can't wait to try the strain.. Also Should mention I'm using 428 REAL Watts for CFL. 8x 42w 2700k and 4x 23w 2700k or 30,000 Lumen's , Which is equal to 300w or so HPS Lumens Wise . Going for a 0.5 GPW ( prob get like 0.3 Ratio still QP) ratio for a total of 214 grams.. Or pretty much a Half Pound

looking good mario we are within a half week or so of each other. i would like to get around 2 ounces per plant when i get done.
i will be somewhere around 350w-450w when i am done. most watts i can do and keep temps down. (.3 g ratio will put me close to the 2zips per plant).
i feel this is more than obtainable but can never tell what will happen. good luck and keep it up.

Yeah I'm really not to much farther behind then you, And your 0.3 Ratio seems perfectly reasonable my friend, I got a 0.31 ratio off my last grow ... 6x 42watt cfls got 78 grams at 252 watts. I'm hoping for 151+ grams this batch with 450-504 watts should be getting about 5.4 ounces

Well I wanted to get something cheap for LED wise to throw in the tent for the mean time Tell I put my 2x 240's in...( Might wait tell I move end of may or so tho ) But otherwise Ordered up 4x 54w LED Bulbs that go in normal sockets ( they pump oh 4000 Lumens each with 18 3w led's so their' 216watts of LED Grow lights vs 168 cfl. with 252watts of cfls to accompany, As I hope to make temps easier to manage for summer.. so Hopefully they're in soon

Also heres some pics. I LOVE HOW FAST WEED GROWS!! LOVE IT

Update:
Day 12 - Taking the top pretty good, 4 tops for each most likely. One has weird leafs, which was from my fan didnt notice it was blowing directly on the plant almost.. still good tho lol

Possibly switching to flowering end of the week. waiting for a bit more new growth first.. Plus I Just have enough time to get in another batch before I move!(8.5 weeks tell move) then upgrading to something bigger

Updated last post, plants are doing quite well. 2 are starting to shine over the other 2.. Just bigger leafs, faster growth. but overall very green and healthy. Hard to notice the green under 420watts ( 10x42 watts cfls) of 2700k cfls..

What do you guys/girls think of my babys at week 2? 9 more days of veg then flipping

looking good mario they are about to explode in a nice growth spurt.
i find first 2 weeks of about any plants life is the most boring.
so your thinking flip on day 25?
maybe this matter maybe it doesn't but my thought on flipping before preflowers is that it makes for a smaller plant for the fact you are giving less light. but takes just about the same time to show preflowers and finish the plant in end or real close to that.
any thoughts on this?
this is all based on what i have read and more an assumption than fact.

from my experience I get about 70-90cm plants after my 25-30 day veg and 8-8.5 weeks flower ( most likely will do 30 days since scrog, so almost 3 weeks more veg. should be 23-30cm) , Which was right on par with the description of plant . Which is fine for cfls since penetration is a issue. But moving soon is a issue. so I'm hoping I can get my full veg time in. Never had that issue, with flipping before preflowers since Im not growing monsters. gotta think about height since plants grow 2x or 3x times the size when flowering. and CFL's really lose pentration after 50cm really...

i totally agree with the penetration loss.
i am on day 20 today also think around a 30 day veg. i am tying mine outward so i get better penetration in the middle of the plant.
i am hoping my final height of plant will be around 60 cm i can go up to about 85 or so but like you say the canopy would be way to dense for cfl's.

Looking at your grow, another 10 days and they should be beasts! Yours are at least 7" and your looking for at least 10" or so.

Also quick update. got a little scrogy. This is lvl 1 scrog lol.. more just some light training keep height down n' focus more on other things. Also I've topped my #1 plants 3 times now. and all others only once... its growing like a monster for OG x Critical mass . thinking 2 are taking more the Critical traits since kush's tend to be slow vegers from everything Ive heard

Will save pics tell I filp over to flowering next week, Just ordered a 500w led last night, to go aside with 4-6 42 watt cfls (possible 4).. all in all.. should be around 470-550+ watts or so in total with more then enough lumens for 4 plants in a 3Lx2Wx5H with less heat. should be here a few days after flip..

Well the 500w led is in.. I got a new grow setup in a 3x2x6 wardrobe with the top foot or so sectioned off, Now I just have to wait for my new carbon filter, new Duct fan, speed controller, rachets and nutrients.. Will post more pictures once my lights turn back on.. as have it all finished and with scrog in. Also looking at some 4x kessil 150's for supplemented lighting in their as well for sooner or later..
Deffintly making a good investment as for power savings and yield increase over cfls and getting more on par with HPS standards
