Cropping / transplanting conundrum

do you guys crop within the four weeks while the plant Is still in the party cup ? Or do u transplant first then do the crop in the final pot ? Thanks in advance

The point of cropping from the way I've understood is to give the areas of the plant light that aren't getting it due to large fan leaves.

Mine for example grew in sunlight for a while so it got really tall and thin, no need for cropping there. Once I got my CFL setup going, I started LST and it blew up and got super 'busy'. I just cropped it a bit, a more experienced person may have done more but it's my first grow tbh and I'm ready being ambitious with the LST haha
