i have a few questions about how to successfully achieve the task in mind.
i have looked up a lot about genetic traits etc and backbreeding etc, but i still cant find what im looking for.
i am trying to acheive a realitivly 50/50 mix of genetics.
the question i cant find an answer for is witch way to pollinate
#1: use a sativa male + indica female, or #2 the other way round?
i also probly should explain the strains in question,
type A: the sativa, is Afgani of decent, and afik is a pure strain (or IBL over a very long time)
it is nothing like the so called 'afgani #1' or afgani indica's that i have seen on the internets,
the seeds are small to medium size, dark brown with black leopard spots,
the seedlings always have a pink/crimson color on the underside of the cotyledons,
the leaves are skinny and about meduim size, darker clorophyl green, but not a deep solid green.
it grows 6 - 8ft tall in a normal outdoor season, looks similar to big-bud, every branch usualy producing a large fluffy cola 10-15in+.
type B: the indica, we'll call it 'budX'...
its a little known strain that has been around for about 20yrs and is virtually extinct,
it would be on par with G13 for smell, flav0r & potency.
the seeds are all a consistent large size, they are tan with dust sized black specs.
the underside on the cotyledons one these ones are always purple/black(like an eggplant)
and the leaves are meduim size, noticably fatter than most and a pale green color that is hard to describe.
it grows about 5 - 6ft in a normal outdoor season, its internodes are spaced out almost identical to the sativa,
but has many less budsites and they are very small, and very hard and heavy, like a small stone/pebble.
some of them have a faint light blue tinge after curing. yeild's about 1oz per 1.5ft of plant height D: D: D:
at a guess, from what i can gather, the sativa would have receeding genetics,
and the indica would most likley have the more domanant genetics.
what would be the most likely result of #1, and what would happen doing it like #2?
if anyone could gimmie a bit of advice/insight it would be great. Leafy.
