Curing Container Question

I was just looking around for some mason jars when I realized that I don't have any, and came up with an idea instead of buying some.

Would I be able to use plastic water bottles as a container for curing? As long as I burped it a couple times a day and rearranged the nugs it should do just fine right?

Any one who has tried this I'd love to hear the outcome of it. Thanks

Do you have any wooden containers? like without a finish or paint over it? Ive had my friend use a littel wooden box and his shit was done quick, like half the time it shoulda. Though may be best to go to your local dollar store and pick up a couple mason jars.
