Curing Question...

I took about 2 ounces of what I assumed to be decently dried bud, from my drying box. The stems snapped when I broke them but did not break apart and the bud was just a bit crispy to the touch.

I then put half and half in 2 quart jars for curing. I have had them in for about a day and have exchanged the air once or twice for a few min during that time.

My question is, is the bud supposed to get wetter during the beginning of the curing process than when I put it in? The bud feels much more moist than it did when I put it in the jars. Is this normal during while it sweats out the chlorophyll? Im just wondering because Im thinking that maybe I took them out of the dryer a bit too early before jarring & I really dont want to either A) get mold or B) greatly extend the time needed to cure the bud because its too moist.

Someone who has experience with this, please, let me know.

that is exacly what is supposed to happen the bud will draw the moisture from the inside of the bud and stem to the outside, you want that to happen..that way you're drying the bud even and slow;just open the jars for about 30 min at a time maybe once or twice a day depending on how moist your bud is will determine how long you'll have to do this..it usually takes me 3-4 days, you'll have to experiment good luck

if my stems get moist enough to 'not snap' after jarring the first time, they need to sweat some more. I place in a paper bag until they snap again, then back to the jar. then do the uncork every etc etc........repeat until golden.
